Born 1952., an outstanding pianist; winner of the Fryderyk Chopin International Competition in Warsaw (1970) and A. Caselii Competition in Naples (1974); he performs solo as eagerly as a member of chamber orchestra; his repertoire covers compositions by Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert, Chopin, Ravel and Prokofiev; he played the role of Fryderyk Chopin in Andrzej Zulawski's film BLUE NOTE.

Janusz Olejniczak mastered his musical skills with the help of Zbigniew Drzewiecki, Konstanty Schmaeling, Witold Malcuzynski, Barbara Hesse-Bukowska and Wiktor Mierzanow. He gave concerts all over Europe, Japan, Australia and America. He performed under the baton of such remarkable conductors as Witold Rowicki, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Charles Dutoit, Jack Kaspszyk, Wojciech Michniewski, Kazimierz Kord and Grzegorz Nowak.

He conducted master courses in Canada and Japan, as well as classes with students of the Mozart Academy. The artist made numerous radio, television and phonographic recordings in Poland and abroad.
