A musical tale for children about the environment, Lulie the Iceberg is based on the children's book by Princess Hisako of Takamodo and features an exciting original musical score by American composer Jeffrey Stock with award-winning soloists Yo-Yo Ma, cello; Pamela Frank, violin; and Paul Winter, saxophone. Actor Sam Waterston ("Law & Order", The Killing Fields) is the narrator. Lulie the Iceberg follows a quest for the origins and destiny of life through the eyes of a brave iceberg named Lulie, as he embarks on a courageous ocean journey between the Arctic and the Antarctic. Soloists Ma, Frank and Winter take the roles of Lulie and his many friends. The beautiful, melodic score will be appealing to young and old alike. The delightful story will foster in young people a broader understanding of the earth's ecosystems, while encouraging the study of the oceans and their life forms.
